International Coworking Month | INFINITY8 Turns 9
Every year on 9 August, the world celebrates International Coworking day - a day that recognizes the people, ideas and communities that make coworking more than just a place to work.
At INFINITY8, it’s a celebration we look forward to every year. It’s a chance for us to bring our community together, open our doors and celebrate the connections that make our spaces what they are.
This August, we made the celebration even more meaningful by celebrating International Coworking Month with our 9th Anniversary. Across Johor Bahru, Selangor and Penang, our spaces came alive for weeks of workshops, wellness and community connection, powered by a FREE week pass and 15+ incredible partners.
Now that last month’s celebrations have officially wrapped up, here’s a look back at the people, moments and connections that made International Coworking Month 2026 special.
Bringing International Coworking Month to Johor Bahru
We started the celebrations in Johor Bahru from 3-7 August, where the week focused on business growth, education, technology and meaningful conversations.
One of the highlights was a closed-door session held in collaboration with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), bringing together Johor’s education leaders to discuss the gap between the current and future state of learning.
The session explored the gap between the current and future state of education, including how AI-driven platforms can help develop future educators and prepare the workforce for a changing economy.

The week also featured an exclusive session under the Malaysia e50 Awards 2026. INFINITY8 collaborating with e50 Awards to bring together strategic partners - Media Prima, Bursa Malaysia, Credit Guarantee Corporation, Maybank and more to share insights on financing, expansion and growth strategies for SMEs.
With one-on-one consultations and networking opportunities, the session gave businesses a chance to gain practical insights while connecting with potential partners and industry peers.
For us, this is what a strong coworking community in Johor Bahru is about - creating opportunities for people and businesses to connect beyond their everyday workspace.
A Week Built for Growth in Kuala Lumpur
Next, the celebration moved to Kuala Lumpur, where we hosted a week of activities at INFINITY8 Reserve Sunway Square.
With a focus on learning, upskilling, wellness and networking, the programme gave our coworking community opportunities to step away from their usual routines and experience something different within the workplace.
Throughout the week, coworkers and visitors could take part in workshops, wellness activities and knowledge-sharing sessions with our community partners.
The programme included legal knowledge-sharing sessions, a workshop with Marvant and Cloudline Studio, free matcha from Hojichaya, and wellness experiences from The Body Hub, HeyDoc Health, GoFit Gym Malaysia and Great Eastern.
These activities highlighted another important part of the coworking experience in Kuala Lumpur, having access to a community that supports both professional development and personal wellbeing.
Wrapping Up International Coworking Month in Penang
The final stop of the journey was INFINITY8 Reserve George Town, where we celebrated a week focused on community, wellness and networking from 17-21 August.

To mark both our 9th anniversary and International Coworking Month, we also give away a Free Week Pass across participating INFINITY8 locations.
The initiative gave freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote workers, business owners and anyone curious about coworking the opportunity to experience our spaces for themselves.
